There are two conformity markings recognized on the Swiss market, Swiss marking – MD logo indicated below and CE marking.
When a manufacturer needs to involve a conformity assessment body, the identification number of the notified/designated body must be added to the CE/MD marking (as shown in second logo for Swiss marking)
By affixing Swiss MD marking or CE marking the manufacturer guarantees that the device is in conformity with applicable legal requirements.
